Galli has been proudly producing Parmigiano-Reggiano and butter since 1934 in Parma, Italy. Almost 90 years later, they are releasing a gift box and came to me for its packaging design.
The gift boxes contain Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, wine bottles, balsamic vinegar, and so on. Different combinations of products are made to give the recipients an authentic Parma experience.
Galli's customers want to gift the kind of box that feels valuable - so we gave it an aesthetic and emotional value in a design that assures the quality of the products inside.

The cardboard box maintains a traditional, natural and rustic feel of the gift box. The delicately designed elegant box sleeve adds a premium touch.
Form - the long and thin form of the sleeve follows the vertical direction of the lines of the cardboard.
The top of the box is decorated by a delicate pattern. The pattern symbolically represents the brand and the contents of the box.
The color palette is warm and welcoming. The base of the design takes the wine-red color of the Galli brand, which contrasts with the cardboard box. The cream color connects with the box. The overall design is minimal, clean, and delicate which signifies quality and high-value.
Greeted with a promise of quality and care
When customers get ready to open the box, they get greeted with Galli’s promise of quality and care. Their mission statement laid at the front of the box - “Care, passion, commitment are not found in the ingredients list of our products, but they are their heart.”
This adds to the emotional value of a gift - Galli gifts way more than the products of Parma. They gift the passion, care and commitment that goes into them.
When customers are satisfied with a product, they are tempted to visit the company’s website, which is put into focus on the other side of the sleeve.
