Evangelija
Magnetic design that dares.
Brand strategy, Brand Identity, Stationery, Photography, Painting
Evangelija is a creative agency and consultancy specializing in daring and authentic branding. This project is close to my heart and was the first time I experienced being both the client and brand strategist/designer simultaneously.
Businesses with bold founders and bold missions need visual identities that strongly connect with the audience, and that's the core of why Evangelija exists. The agency creates unconventional and positive brands, contributing to a world full of visual identities with strong missions and characters. Design also has the power to inspire positive change, and this is my biggest dream for the agency - that we help businesses create positive impact.
Branding is the communicative bridge between companies and their target audience. Thus, the visual identities we create are the means through which they achieve their missions.

I knew the 25th letter was the one.
I started the identity design by sketching the letter "E" from "Evangelija". The direction I chose for the logo while creating the brand strategy was for it to be typographic, with its style and color palette representing the design sensibility and character of the agency.
I began the sketching process with a list of adjectives: daring, principled, hearty, dynamic. I then translated these brand personality adjectives into forms in design. I sketched about 50 versions of the letter E in a spontaneous and relaxed process based on feeling and expression, with the directions as a guide. In order to fully explore the form, I needed to have no limitations in expression. The result that was achieved was dynamic and extremely experimental, where the letter got many variations of the character.
When I sketched the 25th version of the letter, my feeling was clear that this would be the base for the logo. However, I went further to achieve a full exploration of the expression and even take it beyond the limits.

Evangelija's letters were born from the letter E, with dynamic expression. Red represents the brand - the color of boldness, passion, love, intensity, and action.

Creative Interpretations of the Evangelija Logo
One of the most enjoyable parts of creating the branding was the Creative Interpretations of the Evangelija Logo - limitless self-expression with the aim to think as fresh and out-of-the-box as possible. To demonstrate the daring design thinking the agency offers, I mended paper clips, ate raspberries, painted with oils, and cast red light (coming soon). A brand is a living being, and I am always excited to add a fresh perspective to the logo I live with every day.
Sustainable packaging
I designed Metamorphosa's packaging to be 100% sustainable.
It is recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable - the labels and the bottleneck labels are printed on recycled paper with vegetable-based inks and foil finishes, whereas the bottle closure is made of natural cork. The metal caps on the grape juice bottles are reusable.
When customers purchase a bottle, they are encouraged to return it for reuse or recycling or repurpose it themselves. The diversity of the butterfly illustrations makes the bottles suitable as collectibles too.

The apple self-portrait
This portrait serves to capture my approach to expression and design thinking as the DNA of our agency. The portrait was inspired by another self-portrait I created some years before launching the agency. Everyone that had encountered it commented even years later that it was the most memorable portrait I have and that it entirely represents my approach to creativity. I felt the same, and I decided it would inspire the brand photoshoot.

The Evangelija composition
I designed the composition in which the letter E escapes from the boundaries of a rectangular surface, and it serves as the signature composition of the brand which is used in several brand applications, such as our business cards and our portfolio book. It embodies the goal to design the brand to be bold - a single letter standing on a red surface, no explanation needed.
